The Lebanese Economic Forum organized a luncheon at the Phoenicia Hotel in honor General Security Chief Maj. Gen. Abbas Ibrahim. Amongst the attendees, Minister of State for Women’s Affairs Jean Ogasapian, Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs Ali Qanso, Beirut Governor Ziad Chebib, a delegation on behalf of Interior Minister Nouhad Machnouk, and several regional ambassadors.
Ibrahim added that “Security and economy are interdependent,” explaining that there cannot be a prosperous economy without security and stability, and vice versa. Security will provide many investment opportunities and thousands of job opportunities and help keep pace with global economic development where developed countries have been strengthening their economies for decades and in preparation for future generations.”
